Israel TAOZ Time-of-Use Tariff (2026)
Israel's TAOZ (Time-of-Use) tariff charges different rates by time of day. Summer peak: 17:00-23:00 Sun-Thu. Winter peak includes all days, including Friday and Saturday (Decision 63609).
Peak Windows (Decision 63609)
| Season | Months | Peak days | Peak hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summer | Jun-Sep | Sun-Thu | 17:00-23:00 |
| Winter | Dec-Feb | All days (incl. Fri/Sat) | 17:00-22:00 |
| Transition | Mar-May, Oct-Nov | Sun-Thu | 17:00-22:00 |
How It Works
- TAOZ ("תעו״ז") stands for "ta'arif omes u'zman" (load and time tariff)
- Peak hours cost about 3.4x the off-peak rate
- Switching between uniform and TAOZ is available to all residential customers, subject to a suitable meter and a switching procedure with the supplier
- Beneficial for consumers who can shift load away from peak hours
